WebQuest

Webquest was a challenge to me, well i thought i was doing it right but I ended up doing it all wrong. I probably should have done it day by day but instead I did it all at one time, which was the wrong thing to do. Doing projects online you must take your time and work on it day by day and started on it when you first know about it. Also when doing projects online read all directions and if you do not understand something then ask. The template that Dr. K set up for the class to use helped a lot and peer review help also especially since it was done before the unit plan was do, so we could make changes to better our grade.

Elluminate

At the begging they did an ornaments exchange. Also they did a poll the question was, which word best describe your holidays? the choose was Santa, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Bah Humbug. I never heard of Bah Humbug so i google it and it basically mean not caring.I hope no one thinks that about the holidays. Plenty of people chose Christmas for their answer and no one chose Bah Humbug which i think is a very good thing. Listening to the Elluminate made me even more ready for the Christmas and the holidays. Also in the Elluminate they played a lot of games but i could not play them because i did not watch it on the day it was played. But they did give the web address so you can play the game, The Dreidel http://www.jewfaq.org/dreidel/index.htm. Another activity they did was decorate the Christmas tree, since their was alot of people they had about six different trees and they people were grouped by last name and if your last name was in that grouped you decorated that tree, all the trees were nice and very creative. I like how this Ellumination talked about the different why people celebrated they holidays.

How I accessed the Podcast: first i google "Podcasting in Education, then I clicked on GuidesandTutorials.com then I strolled down to examples of podcasting and I took through they topic and i chose the one about the human body system.

The Podcast was about the different system of the human body, the Digestive,Respiratory, Circulatory and Excretory system). I could use this podcast in the introduction of talking to them about the human body and their different functions. I chose this podcast because it is about the human body and my unit plan will be about the human body. Yes, i would recommend it to others because it ones out some very good points and you can use it to refresh your mind right before you talk to children about the human body.

Grades

Am I the only person who classwork that has not been graded? I feel like I might have done a little bit better if I new my grades on my work. Or if I am not doing so well I could just drop the class and take it over but I guess I am doing ok because i have not receive an e-mail about my grades. Hopefully i will do ok and past this class with at least a C, I don't need nothing lower that that so my GPA will stay good.

Unit Plan

This is not something i am use to. I thought i was up with technology but i guess i am not. Like how you do the sidebar and splitting the pages up. On my webquest i had everything on one page but that wasn't not how i should have been done. I feel so slow at this thing. Now that i think about it, if i worked on it since the beginning of this class maybe i would be how it suppose to be because i would have plenty of time to play with it and get it right.

School Work

This class is not going how i wanted and the teacher might think that i'm a slacker but this it too much for me. This is definitely a lesson learned and i how to stay on top of my class work. I tried to do somethings ahead but the other assignment just get left behind, i mean i do do my work but it is done at the last min.

PowerPoint

At First I was doing fine on my PowerPoint and I did all my slides but when I was doing it I was not putting in into any particularly order. Then when I was done I was trying to move the slides around but it will not let me but I know there is a way because I did it before but i do not remember because I have not done an PowerPoint in a while. So when i click on outline, a box popped up saying stopping so I did not think anything of it and when the box went away my whole PowerPoint closed out, boy was I mad, and I was basically done, all I had to do is put the PowerPoint's in the right order. I was starting to feel like not doing it but I did it anyway because I really do not need to be getting any zeros in this class or any other class.

Stress

 I am stressing again, this class is becoming too much for me. If its not one thing its another. And this group project is not helping, at all. I guess the way the assessments are set up, i feel like i am doing an scavenger hunt, and i don't know what to do. But i am going to hang in there and it will be over be for i know it and hopefully i will pass this class.

Group Work

So I was the last person to get started on the group work. The first thing that we had to do was to pick a role, well no one chose a role so I asked and also said which one I would like to be. So I check my email and someone said that chose the role that i wanted but didnt state it in the group discuission before I asked. Since I was the last person to start so I was kind of ok but it kind of bother me because no one said which role they were, I just wanted to vent that and I wont worry nothing else about it. Also i hope everyone do great on their group project.

Setting up delicious was not as hard as i thought it would be. I had to figure out how to bookmark things, but once i learned how to do that i started to bookmark this that relate to early childhood. At first i was putting the url in the wrong place so it was showing that the url was invalid. I think Delicious is a good tool, instead of putting all the website in favorites and maybe slowing up my laptop i can put it on delicious and it will not effect my laptop at all. I will be using Delicious alot because i use to put everything in favorites.

iPhone vs Google phones

So my father got the iPhone the other day and i had to download his ring tones for him. Boy, was that the hardest i have ever worked just for a ring tone. For the iPhone, what you have to do if you are trying to download from the phone you have to go online on the computer go to the website that you are downloading from and download it to your computer then go to itunes and plug the phone to the computer then in itunes you have to download it to your phone from there. I have one of the google phones and i do not have to do all of that just to get a ring tone, i can just download it on my phone without having to go to itunes and plugging my phone to the computer. And to think i wanted an iPhone but if i have to do all of that i will get stick with the google phones because i work almost the same.

Blind

In one of my other classes we had to watch a video about a blind boy. I was very amazed at how it change his life. He could do anything that we could do with our sight, even better than most of us. They tried to trick him by putting a trash can in his walk way to he fooled them he just walked around it like it always been there. They also showed him playing a video game ( super Mario) with his brother (I think), he was laying in the couch with the TV behind him, and he beat his brother. They asked him how he could play the video game he said by hearing, everyone has a different sound. What i learned by watching this video was you that no matter what your disability is, you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

Blog

OK, so blogging is not something that i usually do so bear with me. i remember that we have to blog at least 4 time a week. That is a whole lot for someone like me who do not blog but i will try to remember. So is there things that we suppose to blog about. How long do the blogs suppose to be. Oh by the way for people who have smartphone there is an app to download to your phone and you can blog from there, for HTC phone with Goggle the app is called "Androblogger" and it is free, i do not know if apple has it but i am pretty sure they do. You can also check your comments. The only thing you can not do, well i do not know how to do just yet is comment on your followers.

10-15-10

So far i have alot of learning to do but i know i will do well. I am starting to feel like this semester will change me, hopefully for the good. I got my Skype up and running and i just had a video chat with my cousin that is miles away, so this will be another good way to communicate with my family that i do not see everyday or weekly.
